Central Problem

How can low rates of college readiness among students from diverse backgrounds at James Monroe High School be reduced?

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the study will be to provide recommendations for solving low rates of college readiness among students from diverse backgrounds at James Monroe High School, West Virginia.

Problem Statement

The problem was that only 28% of the students from low-income and underserved communities at James Monroe High School were ready for college compared to the state average of 84% for all students (Explore James Monroe high school in Lindside, n.d).
