Read the assignment PRIOR to attempting the weekly assignments! You may not initially understand everything, but you will be laying a foundation, and your reading will facilitate your mastery of the material in the assignments. The instructor will provide reflection questions for the students to answer using critical and analytic skills. Students will be asked to answer the questions to develop their cognitive skills. You will only be required to answer questions for FOUR Modules. The selection of the assignments to complete is left up to you and MUST be submitted on by the due date. The purpose of these assignments is to encourage students to think about the assigned readings and reflect on your personal reactions to these issues. All papers MUST be typed and in APA format.

Reflection Questions #3

1. Explain how competition leads to a realized niche. How does competition promote resource partitioning?

2. What is restoration ecology? Why is it an important scientific pursuit in today’s world?

3. Describe how hypoxic conditions can develop in ecosystems such as the Chesapeake Bay?

Newer Competency 2 Demonstration of Mastery Competency 2 – Estimates future financial outcomes using discounted cash flow analysis. Comprehensive Financial Statement Problem – Part 2 Complete the second part of the final demonstration of mastery related to Competency 2 content; using the financial statement for selected company, analyze discounted cash flow and net present value; complete a forecasting analysis for five years. 1. For the company you used in Competency 1, calculate the data necessary to analyze the discounted cash flow and the net present value. 2. Complete a five-year financial forecast for the company. 3. Present this data so that corporate leaders, stockholders, and the public can understand it.
