“7-2 Final Project Milestone Four: Recommendations”

A.

Critical thinking is the ability to synthesize information to assess a conflict and then solve it based on decisions that have worked in the past. Leaders with a transformational style inspire others to work together to solve problems (Center for Creative Leadership, 2021). They defy preconceptions and foster a climate of open debate.

B.

i. Face the conflict directly.

This does not imply an aggressive approach but rather an acknowledgment and effort to resolve the conflict. When faced with a complicated or terrifying problem, most leaders ignore the issue rather than confront it. When things start to go wrong, it may be difficult to stop them from getting out of hand (CNN Editorial Research, 2021). As long as it is dealt with as soon as it arises, almost any disagreement can be resolved to benefit all parties involved. Managers are responsible for naming and solving the problem, so long as they’re brave enough.

ii. Seeking out things in common

Many conflicts arise from confusion between the parties involved, but the groups may still have some shared ground. A shared interest is the foundation for resolving disputes and bringing people together, so leaders are advised to always look for it (Center for Creative Leadership, 2021). The mutual ground is a bridge that leads to understanding and trust.

iii. It is important to maintain objectivity in the process.

Leaders need to avoid siding with either side in a dispute, even when they know who is right. To establish a solution, it is important to comprehend both parties’ concerns and what exactly is creating the conflict (CNN Editorial Research, 2021). Opposing does not automatically imply breaking the law, and engaging in a fight should only be done as a final resort after all other options have failed.

C.

Build relationships with the leaders of the community. With the help of respected community leaders and conservation groups, corporations can begin to create trust in the communities in which they operate. There is a significant benefit to gaining the support of both officials and prominent informal leaders in the community (Center for Creative Leadership, 2021). Decision-makers in organizations can benefit from relationships with community leaders since they can learn more about the social culture, attitudes, and practices through such relationships. Conflicts are unavoidable, but organizations can better prepare for them if they have a deeper understanding of community dynamics.

Maintain regular and trustworthy communication. It is impossible to engage with a community in a one-time event; it must be done regularly and in an organized fashion. This is critical for an organization since it must educate the public and listen to their concerns and ideas (CNN Editorial Research, 2021). Society needs to be aware of corporate resolutions and their rationale, and their views should be incorporated into the decision-making process. Effective communication is characterized by the use of simple, direct language that is easily understood by all parties involved.

D.

Subordinates look to the behavior of top management as an example of how they should behave. For executives to be effective, they must demonstrate leadership and adhere to the company’s beliefs and policies. When top management conducts ethically, it sends a message about what behavior is acceptable at work (CNN Editorial Research, 2021). Leaders must understand that they are role models, and as such, they must set an example for others to follow.

An organization’s employees and other stakeholders should be informed of the anticipated conduct and reminded about it. In this way, workers will know what is expected of them at all times (CNN Editorial Research, 2021). The establishment of a moral culture will be aided by effective and regular communication.

Provide employees with a safe and confidential way to report any violations of the firm’s values. An ethical therapist, for example, could be accommodating in this situation (CNN Editorial Research, 2021). This will allow a company to look into and take action on any wrongdoing.

E.

In order to get people on board with the idea of change, leaders must communicate effectively, which is a critical part of their job. Leadership must be clear about the goals of the implementations and how they will influence the organization and its workers (CNN Editorial Research, 2021). Employees will have more confidence in their leaders, and the transformation process will go more smoothly if they can get honest answers to their inquiries.

F.

The new policies should be implemented in stages, starting with the most important. If a corporation wants to experiment with a new policy, it should start with a small group of employees. If any mistakes or issues were not anticipated during the design phase, the organization can fix them before implementing the policy across the board (CNN Editorial Research, 2021). Time and money are both saved with this approach.

G.

A business must determine the root reason for any budgetary restrictions it may confront. Search for any procedural flaws that could be causing the problem and then develop solutions to fix them in the project planning stage (Center for Creative Leadership, 2021). Costs can be reduced by improving the efficiency of the elementary process arrangement.
