Task description:This is an assignment that expects you to apply the knowledge and skills gained in the first six weeks of study to a problem domain that can benefit from IoT and is of interest to you, and communicate your findings in a written report. You will describe an enterprise IoT use case, identify key requirements, enabling technologies and core computing platforms for an IoT solution, and discuss its design rationale. You can conduct these tasks based on an existing enterprise IoT solution for the selected use case.  

Task details

You are expected to select an enterprise IoT use case and carry out the assignment via the following tasks:

1. Describe your use case and provide value proposition statements 
2. Draw a set of key requirements that a potential IoT solution should address, including requirements of sensing from the “things”, connectivity to Internet, network communication, data processing, computing and/or storage, etc.
3. Propose an IoT solution with a focus on enabling technologies and core computing platforms. The proposed solution should contain the following key components:  oIoT devices (e.g., sensors)

o IoT connectivity and network (e.g., wireless network and protocols) o Computing platforms (e.g., fog and/or cloud computing environment)

Discuss the design rationale (i.e., why certain devices, networking technologies and computing platforms are considered for the solution) and possible limitations of the proposed solution.
