Learning outcomes to be met on this assignment

  2. Examine international perspectives on HRM in a critical manner
  3. Compare HR practices in differing national and regional contexts

Instructions:- Choose ONE of the following titles to produce a narrativereport (guidance – suggested word count of 1,500 words (notincludingreferences))

Title One

The average company’s workforce now consists of 54% full time employees, 20% freelance employees /contractors/interns and 26% remote/part-time employees – according to a study by Fieldglass in 2015.

Identify and evaluate thekey issues that any organisation could face regarding organisational culture with such a diverse workforce as suggested above and any possible implications of this for IHRM Managers.

Title Two

As stress levels and Karoshi, (deaths attributed to overwork), increase, the Japanese Government is now implementing and enforcing laws that will force employers to implement policies and procedures making it compulsory for workers to take periods of paid holiday. (The Guardian, Feb 2015)

Identify and evaluate the implications of such a change in legislation on organisational culture for IHRM Managers and propose HRM activities to ensure compliance at corporate level.
