Please describe your experience conducting or participating in auditing (i.e., evaluating) human resources programs. In your response, please explain your role, the types of human resources evaluations conducted, the step-by-step process of the audit, and the outcome of the reviews.

As a small business owner and current Mississippi PTA president, I am familiar with the role of regular and ongoing reviews of human resources policies and practices due to serving in several roles running a business and a statewide non-profit organization with over 4,000 members located in 43 school districts across Mississippi. HR audit is a yearly requirement for constant areas that need improvement. My experience with the key indicators of (help me enter the keyindictors) is shown in my resume and summarized below.
Leading a small business and a non-profit have different organizational structures, but both have the exact human resource needs. I identified that both organizations lacked human capital, but the main question is why. For both companies, a survey was provided asking what was needed to bring more people into the company and several other questions about the non-profit. From the survey, it was identified that the agent wanted higher wages for my company, which prevented several agents from providing references to apply. As for nonprofits, volunteer organizations need more human capital with a clear direction from the state office, which created a decline in membership and a decrease in service needed. The small business has closed, but the non-profit is still running. The survey helped me realize that we need to retain on the state board because all board members need to take responsibility
The board of the Mississip PTA will roll out a series of monthly meetings that will force on role-specific training. These meetings will be virtual and recorded so that the local members can go back and review the recordings. Also, a monthly newsletter and video will be sent out in September 2024.
From the information gathered from our members, we will measure membership growth, which is currently over 4,000; the goal is that with the change in strategy in communication and outreach that the membership will have, we will have an increase of 2000 members over the 2023-2024 school year.
