Topic: “Will Japan acquire nuclear weapons?”

Thesis: “Japan will acquire nuclear weapons to match the continuous advancements of adversary nations.”

Proposal: As stated above, I will try to prove or disapprove the likelihood of Japan acquiring nuclear weapons in order to stay current and protected against adversary nations. If the United States were to ever pull out of Japan and not offer aid, Japan would be stuck in a position of being vulnerable and far behind in weapon advancement versus their adversaries. They are physically located near one of the top near peer countries, China, as well as being close to North Korea. These two countries would pose a large threat to Japan and are currently both nuclearized. Currently Japan is behind, but I believe as time goes on and other countries continue their advancement and development of nuclear weapons, Japan will inevitably need to become nuclearized.
