Assignment Introduction
Now that you have completed the introduction draft of your report, you are ready to outline the two sides/perspectives section. In the introduction, you briefly mentioned the two possible perspectives for your research question. In this section, you will more fully discuss each perspective and provide reasons (aka “claims”) and evidence in support of them. Do not include your opinion in this section. Strive to remain as objective as possible.
Note: this is an outline assignment. For the final draft of the report, you will need to write this section in paragraph form.
To qualify for full credit, your Report: Two Sides Outline must:
Be written in outline form. Please do not write full paragraphs for this assignment
Include at least three (3) relevant claims for each “perspective”
Include at least two (2) pieces of evidence from research to support EACH claim. Use in-text citations for each piece of evidence
Concisely interpret the evidence. Why is it important? What does it demonstrate?
Include a Works Cited page formatted according to MLA conventions
Note: the similarity score for this assignment will likely be very high. This is normal and acceptable because you’re including many uncontextualized quotes.
