Calling ONLY Aviation writers – You must have a sense of imagination. You will be describing an interview and how you feel about the interview. My Capstone topic is: How do airline crew share and maintain situational awareness?
This project is about me interviewing my mentor and after the interview, I have to put everything together in beautiful sentences, you MUST follow instructions and answer ALL the questions in the below instructions –
To learn more about my mentor and develop strategies to facilitate better communication, I will survey him with questions such as the following:
Please briefly explain your educational and professional background.
Masters of Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Currently working for American Airlines in Regulatory Compliance.
Why did you choose this line of duty?
Aviation is always been my passion specially “aviation maintenance”.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In same profession, perhaps in Director’s position. If not, a full-time faculty at a university.
What is your greatest passion in the aviation industry?
Teaching the new generation, learning the newly developed aviation concepts, aircraft, and its systems to gain knowledge.
What would be your recommendation if I were to tell you that I have a passion for helping others, that I would like to be a professor?
Work toward it, be a goal getting. Know the content of material you are going to teach, become an expert.
What is your personal faith in this line of passion?
As I wrote before that I like to teach, especially the new generation.
What is your philosophy about how you fit into the aviation industry?
There is no such thing one size fits all. Aviation being the competitive and ever-changing industry, it is hard to say or explain “FIT”.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, what are some of the challenges that the aviation industry faces today?
As of now airlines have lost $, which in time will bounce back. There is always light at the end of tunnel. This tunnel seems to be bit longer than anticipated.
As a Quality Assurance, FAA Liaison how do you think you can ensure airline crew share and maintain situational awareness?
The importance of situation awareness for preventing errors in maintenance, which is contributed due to maintenance errors and not paying attention. At times knowing what is going on around us are the primary factor. Situation awareness has been found to be important in a wide variety of systems operations, including piloting, air traffic control
and maintenance operations. As always recommendations for improving situation awareness through organization and system design and through training are made that are applicable to a wide variety of aviation settings.
Why is it so important that airline crew share and maintain situational awareness?
Since I am not a pilot, I would say that Situational awareness perhaps is the accurate perception and understanding of all the factors and conditions within the risk elements that affect safety before, during, and after the flight.
These questions and answers must be in the paper.
