Of all the ancient thinkers you read about in this week’s assigned chapter, who do you think was most crucial to the development of modern scientific inquiry? Why? There are no wrong answers here, but you must give some solid reasoning for whomever you choose. 
With regards to the reading you did on the Socratic method: What do you think made this mode of inquiry so powerful? What does it allow the teacher to demonstrate? What does Socratic questioning achieve for the student? Why do you think we still use this mode of learning today (think about many of your college lecture classes- I bet you have had professors that like to teach by asking questions!)?
