of some sort? Describe the nature of his change of heart. How is the reader
prepared for it? What are its repercussions in the character’s life?

Audience-Write the essay as though it were being read
by a general college-educated audience.
Evaluation Criteria-You will be evaluated on your
ability to develop a claim and support that claim with evidence from the
play and from secondary sources. Be sure to provide concrete evidence from the play to support your
ideas, and use at least two other sources to support your essay.
For this essay, you will have to conduct
research of secondary sources. Your research requirements are as follows:
Your essay must draw information from reliable secondary
sources of literary criticism. Consult MATC Library Databases or online
scholarly sources for your research.
Length-The essay should be 1000-1500 words, double-spaced,
typed, using 12-point Times New Roman, Arial or Calibri font. This requirement
does not include the Works Cited page.
Format-Your essay must be formatted using MLA
Documentation style and include parenthetical (in-text) citations and the Works
Cited page.
This essay is
a Career Essentials Assignment and it will be assessed through the use of
a Career Essentials Rubric. Career Essentials are seven (7) competencies that
program students must be able to demonstrate by the time they complete a
program. The purpose of a Career
Essentials Assessment is to evaluate student soft skills, like writing, within
