As you show in your reading assignment, AC 120-71B, Standard Operating Procedures and Pilot Monitoring Duties for Flight Deck, contains a complete chapter on PM.  The addition to PM is a recent addition and part of the “Bravo” release of AC 120-71 in January 2017.  Advisory Circular 120-71A is dated February 2003.  
Instructions
Compare and contrast AC 120-71A and AC 120-71B, from a PM content standpoint.  Determine the differences in structure and focus and the change to PM from PNF in AC 120-71A.  You will be issued credit for the assignment if you:
Complete the assignment by the due date
Provide an accurate and comprehensive assessment of the differences between AC 120-71A and AC 120-71B
Choose a position and support the change to PM from PNF in AC 120-71A
