Now that you have completed (or very nearly completed!) your Managing Natural Resources portfolio activities it would be useful if you could spend a little time reflecting on what you have learned by completing these activities and share your thoughts with the rest of the group. This will form the basis of the discussion for our next class session on Thursday 29th July. So have a think about the following questions and share your thoughts on the following – either by contributing to this discussion thread or by joining the class discussion on Thursday (or both!):
1. What urban area did you focus on and why?
2. How effectively do you think your chosen city / town is managing natural resources?
3. Do you think it is monitoring sufficient environmental variables?
4. Does it provide enough publicly available and accessible environmental data?
5. Does it have clear strategies in place for environmental management and greenspace provision?
6. What aspects of the portfolio activities did you find the most challenging? Why?
