An Appeal Letter has to be written against a possible negative Binding Study Advice

An Appeal Letter has to be written against a possible negative Binding Study Advice decision.

A quick story about me:I am a first-year law student; due to several personal issues at home, such as the aftermath of my parent’s divorce and financial debts in my family, which greatly affected and hindered my academic year and study progress, I could not pass the required 34 ECTS threshold. I did not reach out for psychological support during my first academic year in Law School because I am from an Asian household in which it is not in my culture, nor was I taught to open up about mental health struggles; moreover, I was not aware that it was a University requirement to do so. Furthermore, the courses I did fail, I failed only by a small margin, and I did try to study as I have attended almost all given tutorials. However, I am truly determined to continue to study Law at my University. (More information will be provided to the writer later on).

– ‘A causal link between the student’s personal circumstances and the student’s unsatisfactory academic performance needs to be established in the letter.’
Qualities of a Successful Appeal Letter:
Demonstrates an understanding of what went wrong
Takes responsibility for academic failures
Outlines a clear plan for future academic success
Conveys points honestly
