Mobile technology has helped in law enforcement technology that has changed investigation procedures used by law enforcement professionals.

Mobile technology have helped the state to curb and solve crimes, higher efficiency and productivity of state staff, increased in ability to communicate and update the public on crime ,networking capabilities improvement and gaining crimes tips from the public.

State accessing this mobile technology is a threat to privacy and information of the public. Public personal information should be private and should be protected. There is increased cybercrime targeted non-government organizations and corporations.

The benefits of allowing the state to use this mobile technology outweighs the risks.it provide opportunities to monitor crimes. Terrorism recruitment activities online are curbed by law enforcement agencies in conduction with technology companies.

There is use of mobile programs  that helps in investigation management that allow parties involved in a case to manage case flow by use of simple interface. Crime pad is a program that allows log evidence and information by personnel with no internet connection. Technology has made communities safer places to live and work in by providing various ways to deal with crimes.
