Important Issues in Healthcare Management:

Patient Abuse

For
your final paper, please select a topic from the list provided.  Upon selecting your topic, conduct research
on at least 2 major legal cases that were brought to trial as a result of a
violation related to your selected topic. 
 

In
preparation for your capstone project, your final paper will include 2 sections
of the capstone template: Description of the Problem and Literature Review. 

Your
paper should address the following:

1.       A comprehensive description of the issue and how it impacts
a health care organization, institution, provider or at-risk community or
population.

2.       Legal
implications of the issue on the healthcare organization.

3.       Analysis and
literature review of at least 2 major legal cases related to your topic.

4.       Ethical problems
highlighted in each case

5.       Organizational
recommendations for preventing the violations that occurred in each case.

The final paper
will be due on August 1, 2021.  Upon
choosing a topic, students will be required to submit a summary and outline of
their paper to ensure successful completion of the final paper by July 18, 2021.  Final papers must be 6- 8 pages long,
excluding title and reference pages and should be double spaced with 1 inch
margins.  All papers must be written in following
appropriate APA 7th edition format.
