The rules are this:

I will establish a Discussion Board Thread concerning a topic I would like the class to discuss THROUGH A WRITTEN RESPONSE, and I will tell you that it has been posted.

Sometimes there will be one or more brief readings attached, sometimes not.

Each of you MUST post a response during the time that the Discussion Board Thread that I have posted is open. 

THE RESPONSE TO DISCUSSION BOARD THREAD 2 FOR WEEK 1/MODULE 2 IS DUE BY 11:59 PM, MONDAY, JULY 26.

Within that timeframe, you must post a response that addresses the points I want you to cover as indicated in the Discussion Board Thread Directions.

If I ask your personal opinion, please give it, informed by your own judgement, experience and reading.

Also, within that timeframe, you must read and briefly comment on one (1) of the responses made by your fellow classmates.

I will grade you on the basis of your having made a response and having commented on one (1) classmate response.

In terms of your initial response: Take your time to review my question, and to read the material on which the question is based. If there are associated Required Readings, they will be attached to the Discussion Board Thread that I post.

I would prefer to see thoughtful responses, neither too short nor too long (maybe 3-6 sentences), written out in full sentences, that show that you have read and understood the required material, and that you have thought about the response.

SO – TAKE TIME TO READ AND ABSORB THE QUESTION AND THE WRITTEN MATERIAL AND TO FORMULATE AN ANSWER. WRITE OUT YOUR ANSWER IN DRAFT FOR YOURSELF, LET IT GO FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS OR OVERNIGHT, AND THEN RETURN TO REWRITE. 

THEN, WHEN YOU FEEL THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN A SOLID, INFORMED, THOUGHTFUL, AND NOT OVERLY LONG RESPONSE, MAKE A POSTING IN DISCUSSION BOARD FOR THE DISCUSSION THREAD.purpose and Objectives: This exercise is meant to help you understand and explore certain types of negative organizational cultures, and how they can interfere with organizational morale, productivity, and overall employee performance and effectiveness. 
Such negative cultures pose a serious challenge for the well-being and success of the organization, and for the HR Departments and line managers of the organization.
