NUR4033 Module 4 Discussion: Nervous and Integumentary Assessments & Children and the Older Adult

Conduct a geriatric assessment on an individual of your choice. The person should be 65 years or older. Remember to protect the identity of the person interviewed and only include initials and age. An example of a genogram can be found on page 75 and 76 of the Bates textbook. The focus of this discussion is on the family history and genogram component of the assessment.

In an original response:

  • Construct a genogram of the patient’s family history for the discussion.
  • What information will you use to plan your care of this patient based on the family history?
