SOC212-Assignment 2: Term Paper Autobiography

Write a 2-3 page autobiography in which you highlight how different sociological factors have influenced your life and who you have become.  Such factors may include but are not limited to: culture, gender, age, religion, race, socioeconomic status, or any other topic from the text.  Note that your title page and reference page do not count toward your 2-3 pages. Only the body of the paper counts for your 2-3 pages. Students must use at least 10 terms from the text throughout the paper.  These terms need to be bolded and cited appropriately to your text using APA format.  Your paper format should also meet APA standards.  This includes correct spacing, page numbers, correctly formatted reference page, etc.

Proper paper structure is also a basic minimum requirement. This means you should have a clear introduction in which you state the sociological factors you plan to highlight, the body including topic sentences that tie back into the intro, and a conclusion in which you restate the sociological factors from the intro and body of the paper.

Students who do not feel comfortable writing an autobiography, may write a biography in reference to someone else.  Students who choose this option would need to interview someone regarding the different sociological factors they will highlight in their paper and include a transcript of the interview attached to their final paper.
