Interpreting Politics

If the reading makes a more specific point that is relevant for your purposes, explain it as well. (2) Identify a current political controversy, event or policy (in the U.S. or elsewhere) that in some way resonates in your mind with the reading. Provide a brief summary of what you find interesting about the political event, controversy or policy. (3) Elaborate on the connection between the text and the current political event/controversy:  Do ideas from the political theory text help to illuminate something about the current event/issue? Does the political theory reading offer a critical insight into contemporary politics, does it help to resolve a controversy, or perhaps does the contemporary event/debate offer a critique of the political theory text?
