General Information and Purpose of the Assessment

Include the test author and publisher, including the date of initial publication and most recent revision. Also indicate the current cost of assessment and the development history and version changes (if applicable). Clearly state the purpose of the assessment (What was it designed to measure, and how can it be used? Describe the practical application of the instrument.) How is it administered? What is the qualification level required for the counselor to use this assessment?

Psychometrics of the assessment

Include information about standardization including the norm group, population/age, – What is the age range? Include information about test reliability – list all types of reliability tested (e.g. test-retest, Cronbach’s Alpha…). If applicable, include reliability estimates for each subscale and total scale. Also include information regarding validity – list types of validity that were tested (e.g. Content, Criterion, Construct…).

Multicultural and Ethical considerations

Explain any potential ethical or multicultural considerations that must be taken into consideration when using this assessment. How would you address these considerations if you were to use this assessment?
