Assignment 5: Marketing Creative Analysis For this week’s assignment, compare and contrast two bands or artists and their creative output. Try to utilize bands that are not household names (these folks have the ability to break rules and have to worry less about recognition than developing bands).
When comparing your two bands, please answer the following questions:
What are the two bands/artists you’ll be analyzing?

Based on the creative you have found, how might you define the target demographic/psychographic group(s) for each of the bands/artists?

For each of the bands/artists, how effective is the creative at forming an overall brand? Thinking back to the ideas of multiple impressions and the “Rule of Seven” explored in the lesson, how easy or hard it is to align different creative work to the same artist/band?

Is there a core creative element (similar to the video component we discussed with Washed Out) that is leading the campaigns for each of the bands/artists? If so, how effective do you think this element is in articulating the artist and their work, and aligning with their core demographic?

How is each band/artist consistent or not with look and approach across different mediums? Explain why and provide any necessary visuals to support your analysis.

Based on what we have discussed this lesson, are there any best practices you think could make this creative more effective?
