Before you start the diagnostic essay, please read Paulo Freire’s “The Banking Concept of Education.”

After you have carefully read and studied the essay, answer the following question:

Compare the banking model with your expectations for an education. “Do most college students expect teachers to be ‘bankers’? How many people would pay for an education in which ‘no banking’ occurred? If you were Paulo Freire, how would you attempt to change students’ expectations?”
