You must have at least 8 sources total:

Section 1: You are required to consult and cite at least six academic sources for section one. NO WEBSITES, such as Wikipedia, history.com, etc. are acceptable. Electronic versions of academic journal articles are acceptable.

ONE source can be your textbook.

TWO (or more) sources must be primary sources (Links to an external site.). Your textbook has many good links to primary sources within each chapter.

THREE (or more) sources must be books and/or articles from history journals. To find academic journal articles, I recommend JSTOR (Links to an external site.) which can be accessed through the CRC library research database.

Section 2: You must include two primary sources that connect your topic to American society in 2021. One must come from a newspaper , the other can be something less formal like a TED talk, film, TV show, song, or social media discussion. These sources must have been created in 2021.
