Communication in health

BACKGROUND SCENARIO: You work for an organization who employs PDHPE teachers. Your organization could be a private practice, A SCHOOL, a government health district, a non-government organization, or business. In a review of the performance of the organization, ‘communication’ (verbal, non-verbal, and written) was identified as an area needing improvement, including communication within teams, communication with clients/patients/students, and communication with the general public. Poor communication has resulted in several poor client/patient/student outcomes. As part of the performance review, several concerns related to communication were identified,

Communication issues within the organisation:

– Meetings: Less experienced staff not confident to speak up in meetings and voice concerns about risks to patient/client/student safety that they have identified.Communication issues with clients/patients/students and the general public:

– Parents have reported concerns that communication with parents during parent-teacher interviews, phone calls, and emails to be unclear and not consistent with what students have reported.Write an evidence-based brief addressing TWO communication issues listed above. Your brief for each communication issue needs to address:

1. What are the main factors likely to underlie the communication issue?

2. What are the consequences if the communication issue is not addressed?

3. Proposed solution to address the communication issue.

The word limit for this is 1000 words, equivalent to approximately 500 words per communication issue. You can include images (e.g., graphs, figures, images) to supplement your response for each issue. As part of your written response, you are expected to consider and refer to evidence-based literature for points #1, #2, and #3. The literature needs to come from books, book chapters, peer reviewed journal articles, and reputable websites for organizations (not generic websites such as Wikipedia). Reference list not included in word count. The referencing style is APA 7th edition.
