Create two social studies lesson plans: One that is a lesson that is contextualized (Context-embedded) and one that is a lesson that is de-contextualized (Context-reduced). Then give a brief statement of the difference in the two models. Remember that contextualized means there are lots of visuals and other concrete support. (These may include hands on projects. This could also include reading aloud to students from children’s literature as students interact with the story.) The term de-contextualized means minimal context or other linguistic support. One example is reading a text that has limited pictures and then having students answer the questions without benefit of interactive peer group discussions. (20 points)
I do not know how many pages this will take you, let me know and I hope someone is whiling to help me out with my lesson plans.
