Cross Cultural Management 21-22

Part 1

Take a specific experience – something that has happened to you. Use Gibbs reflective cycle to structure your blog.

Part 2

Suggested questions to be answered in Part Two of the assessment:

What is your topic?

If you are unfamiliar with this topic, how would you go about finding out what keywords it would be useful to search on?

Since this is a cross cultural exercise, it would be useful to find out about the country or region in question. How would you go about this? What possible sources would you consult? Under what circumstances might you include some of these in your report?

Where would you look for academic sources for your report? What keywords would you use? Make a table of searches. Record the keywords used, the number of hits that you get and comments on the usefulness all these possible sources.

Comment on the reliability of the sources that you have found. How do you know if a source is reliable or not. Include comments on the reliability of using different search facilities. For example, what are the advantages and disadvantages of using Google Scholar, the university library search, databases and Google.

List about a dozen sources that you have found which you think will be particularly useful for your report. Comment on why you think each one will be useful. For example, is it a key work in the field with many citations? Or, is it a recent research output that moves this line of research forwards?
