Analyze at least one nursing role related to disaster preparedness in that setting.Paragraph three: Identify at least one key stakeholder related to the setting that a CHN could collaborate with regarding disaster preparedness. Include why this collaboration is important.Paragraph four: respond to the following post:”According to our reading, “a disaster is any event that causes a level of destruction, death, or injury that affects the abilities of the community to respond to the incident using available resources (Nies, 2019).” Types of disasters are natural disasters, manmade and technological events, explosions or blasts, and epidemics (Nies, 2019). In the picture above, the message is conveying that there are free flu and Covid-19 vaccines at CVS. This helps to prepare and combat the disaster of the epidemic we are all facing and reduce our risk of getting the flu.One setting that is impacted by this would be schools. Not only could getting a flu and/or a Covid-19 vaccination help schools by reducing the spread of these, but it also helps to keep schools in session instead of having to close down temporarily due to these illnesses. According to our lesson, “School nurses are the primary link many students and their families have to the public health system (Chamberlain University, 2021).” Some nursing roles that helps to prepare for this disaster would be helping to administer covid-19 vaccinations/flu vaccinations to eligible kids and teenagers in the school setting, educating students on the importance of getting these vaccinations, educating students to spread awareness of the need to get the vaccinations, and educating on how to stop the spread of these illnesses. “Community/Public Health and Quality Improvement should be a focus of school nurses as they are qualified to host vaccination clinics in their schools and may be called on to track data related to the impact of pandemic on school-related measures such as attendance (Gordon et al., 2021).”One key stakeholder related to schools that a community health nurse could collaborate with would be the Board of Education in that community. This collaboration would be important because the Board of Education develops policies that govern school operation in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. The community health nurse could help make policies that pertain to the health of the students and faculty.Resources: Where did you find your data? Include references
