Directions:
Write a five paragraph essay, 1X3X1.  You must choose either an Example essay or a Process Analysis essay.  Your grade will be determined by your demonstration that you understand and include the characteristic elements of this type of essay, as explained in class and in our textbook.  Be sure to follow the writing process: Plan, Draft, Proofread, Revise, Edit, Proofread (again.) Notes for characteristics and rubrics for these two types of essays are on our Blackboard Course Content Page.   
This assignment counts for a major part of your course grade as noted on the syllabus.  Be sure to do your best work.
You may choose a topic of your own, a topic from our textbook or one of the topics suggested below.
Suggested Topics:
Example – Write about the most influential person(s) in your life.  What you expect to get out of college.  The advantages/disadvantages of your current job. Where you expect to be in five, ten and twenty years from now.
Process Analysis – How to succeed in college.  How to do your job.  How to stay on a budget. How to manage your time.
