Essay 3 Outline
Instructions:
Under each heading, add bullet points to list the ideas/information you plan to include in that section of your paper.
For your introduction and conclusion, under each heading, list ideas or information that you might include. This does not need to be in complete sentences (though it can be). You must write complete sentences for your thesis, however.
For your body paragraphs, outline the individual paragraphs you will write for each section:
First, write the main idea you will develop in that paragraph in a complete sentence (i.e., a topic sentence).
Underneath each topic sentence, list the quotations from the Joachim and Acorn’s article AND Butler’s short story that support that main idea.
Include as many quotations as you want, but focus on the most important and relevant details.
Try to list the quotations in the order you think you will present them for the actual paragraph.
Do this as many times as is necessary to include all of the details you want to include in your analysis! If you have a lot of information, think about how you can divide your paragraphs.
Before you submit your outline, please delete the instructions (everything including and above this sentence).
