The complex interaction between learning and cognitive skills, biological heritage, emotional skills, family and peer influence, and social and psychological environment plays a critical role in ensuring that we gain control of every aspect of life and also be able to interact with others. The parameters are essential in our lives and have assured that, as humans, we are able to develop interaction skills and also be able to influence others in an incredible way that defines us. Over the years, we have been able to understand different aspects that differentiate us like development and how these aspects have ensured that we remain vigilant of our doings.
Biological heritage defines where one comes from, what they have inherited from their parents, and how that affects their lives (Shute, 2015). I have known Jane for a very long time. We grew up together when I was living with my grandparents, and she used to be one of my closest friends. Her father and mother worked at a local company; hence she had all she wanted while growing up. We used to play using the toys that she acquired at her will since her parents could afford them. On weekends, she used to be taken to the parks and the city once in a while. She had diabetes that she inherited from her mother, and as such, we could relate because I also had such health complications while growing up. I felt that she was the one true friend who understood my complexity and was ready to do whatever it took to see that we were both happy.
In this case, biological heritage can be described as diabetes that she had inherited from her parents and other things like toys that she would get at her will. According to Charles Darwin, the evolutionary theory describes the situation where refinement and further development of modern synthesis are looked at a glance through genetics and evolution (Bjorklund, 2015). In such a case, Jane had inherited genetic complications that affected on her day to day life. In terms of how she associated socially, her life always depicted the functional products of natural selection, such as perception, and language. Jane, like me, always believed that people had a negative understanding of her life, seeing her as a weak person just because she was suffering from a dreadful disease from such a tender age.
Learning and cognitive skills can be described mostly as the ability of humans to process thoughts that are supposed to be depleted on a large scale, mainly among healthy individuals (Osborne, 2016). This describes individuals’ capabilities to be able to solve particular mental activities that are mostly related to problem-solving and also learning. While growing up, Jane had a problem with paying attention and would always be reminded by the teacher to pay attention in class. Her memory was swift and would remember slight details that she had learned over the years.
This made her popular among the students and teachers as she would be seen as a rare gem; she was not good at paying attention but was good at learning. In this section, the learning theory best applies and describes the process through which students and other learners might absorb, process, and also retain knowledge obtained through learning. Influences such as cognitive, environmental, and emotions play a critical role in defining how a person is able to learn and keep skills (Osborne, 2016). Jane was a good learner and had developed a cognitive concept from an earlier age. She was able to learn well and retain the knowledge for a very long time, an idea that made her be among the best in our class and school.

The socio-emotional environment is the ability of a child to develop expression and management of emotions due to the experience they have and the ability to establish a reliable and robust relationship with others. Socio-environment encompasses both the inter and intrapersonal processes of development. Jane has always fascinated me. She is able to identify and also regulate strong emotions like anger and frustrations. She is still empathetic and understands other people perspective pretty well. She does not overreact to things, and she always knows what to do at the right time. She would always mesmerize me with her ability to understand others well despite some criticizing her because of her diabetic condition while growing up.
The psychoanalytic theory argues that human personality is a result of the interaction between ego, superego, and identity. The approach guides a person into associating with others during childhood in such a way that they can influence their lives later in life (Tummala-Narra, 2016). Jane had a great personality while we were growing up. She would step up and help others whenever they wanted. She used to give me toys and other playing items, share her snacks with me and also invite me to her house so that we could watch cartoons. She has grown up to become a reliable young woman who is always passionate about helping others. She is currently working with a humanitarian organization in Northern China.
Family and peer environment can be described as one of the leading players of the primary influence of how we interact with others both when we are young and while we are old enough (Batorowicz, 2016). Family and peers play a critical role in our lives that describes and dictates how we can live with others in our lives. Parents and friends are also essential during our adolescent development. The quality of the relationship between adolescents with their peers and the peers they have associated with play a very critical role that may impend or aid their current and also future functioning. Although we have not interacted with Jane on face to face basis for quite some time now, we are always talking and discussing different things that influence our lives, with friends being one of them. We are very watchful of the type of friends we allow into our lives.
She has continued to play a core part in my life, ensuring that I make the right choices regarding the future. Through her personality, she can influence my livelihood even when the distance is long. Jane has also been working with peer counselors, advising young girls on the effects of learning and appreciating education. In my previous work, I stated that many children in our village would not learn past elementary school, which has always jeopardized their chances of having a meaningful life later in life. As such, she has been working closely to ensure that students find the true meaning of studying past elementary school.
