After assessing yourself, now consider your friend Jessica…
1. For the past five years, Jessica’s choice of contraceptive has been a combination oral contraceptive pill. Jessica recently started a new job that has very irregular hours, and she now has difficulty taking her pills at a consistent time each day. What other methods of birth control could Jessica use that would offer similar results and better fit her new schedule? What would you recommend that she try? Explain your reasons.
2. Suppose you are in the position of supporting a friend who has gone through an abortion. What sort of physical and emotional signals would you look for? What kind of support would you be willing to offer?

Second discussion:

Part 1. Choose an addictive behavior: compulsive shopping, pathological gambling, internet, work, exercise, or love and sex addiction. Compare symptoms and treatments of these behaviors with symptoms and treatment of substance abuse and substance dependence. 

 
Part 2. Choose a different drug or group of drugs. Give an overview of that drug, including the way it works, ways it can be taken, advantages, disadvantages, cost, short-term and long-term effects, and groups of people most likely to use this particular drug, if any.
