He claimed, “Founders and governments have worried “that the rich would oppress the poor, or that the poor would try to confiscate the wealth of the rich” through revolution, Sitaraman said, and America’s founding fathers were no exception.” The founders believes that the United States would not have oligarchy. Durning the industrial revolution the economy went form agriculture to industrial giving the worry to the middle class that the wealthy class would threaten democracy. The founding fathers believes that they had created and egalitarian society that would continue through society today and it made the government believe that to so the U.S. did not worry about wealthy overtaking society. The 16th and 17th Amendment were created to help the political and economic democracy which was successful. Sitaraman believed that America has became less egalitarian than ever before. Certain policy’s led to income inequality and it will take years to fix it. Being that the founding fathers wanted a certain government (egalitarian) it threatens the constitution. Why would or government let us go in to income inequality that’s equal to the inequality during the Great Depression?
