Technological innovation and growth is one of the biggest blessings in the healthcare sector since its birth. Technology has become a critical facet of everyday life. The health care sector has also embraced the use of technology and has proved amazing in improving healthcare operations. However, with the recent advancements in artificial intelligence, data mining, and other aspects of technology, healthcare professionals have to keep pace with the developments to take full charge of the advantages. Technology is very important in healthcare. The industry has witnessed how computers, apps, software’s and other digital tools are shaping healthcare. From surpassing healthcare challenges such as language barriers using Google translators, the efficiency of documentation using EHR (Electronic Health Records), patient management systems, fitness apps to track calories to electronic diagnosis systems, the impact of technology in healthcare is evident. This project is a general assessment of how critical technology is in the healthcare industry.
I will be discussing about the impact of technology on the health care industry.
Technology has really transformed the healthcare experience for both health professionals and patients in terms of operational efficiency and healthcare standards. Constant technology advancement has allowed the medical industry to stay on top keeping the face of upcoming medical techniques, tools, and trends. Among medical professionals, auto-identification of risk factors and precise recommendation of treatment procedures has been made a reality through technology. Patients also enjoy quality healthcare through proper diagnosis, correct recommendations, patient safety and data privacy, patient comparison among professionals, reduced healthcare costs, and a general improvement of healthcare. The Healthcare industry has really been improved by technology as it has brought about a welcome and a massive change in this industry.
Significance of the topic
It is a fact that despite spending a bunch of dollars than other high-income nations, the American healthcare system still scores poorly in terms of satisfaction, costs, and measures such as life expectation and maternal mortality compared to other nations such as Australia. In that aspect, Nunn et al. (2020) observed that the American healthcare department is making huge innovative investments to improve the quality of healthcare but few attempts have been made to investigate the impact those inventions have on healthcare especially medical delivery for the best policy enactment. This is why this study carries a wide significance on the subject matter from a variety of angles. For instance, according to Hussien et al. 2021, Patients can currently access various diagnostic tools. These tools have consequently brought about a new and better cutting-edge treatments and most improved procedures, which results in quicker healing and less pain. For example, mobile carts is a health care tool that is designed to convey classy videoconferencing apparatus to the patient’s bedside, hence allowing doctors to conduct detailed checkups remotely (Bain, 2015). This helps doctors and nurses to access appropriate information regarding the patient at his/her bedside. Additionally, physician-patient communication has really been enhanced by various technological tools. For instance, Referral Trackers System is an equipment used by healthcare providers in order to inspect their patients’ referrals (Rehm et. Al, 2017). This tool provides an efficient and effective communication network between two healthcare institutions, thus assisting health specialists in maintaining consistent communication while treating a patient. Therefore, from a practical standpoint, the overall healthcare sector will benefit from my study as I will research different aspects where technology directly impacts healthcare delivery.
Reason for choosing the above topic
The reason why I chose to research about this topic is because I intend to encourage as many physicians and patients as possible on the use of technology as it generally promotes quality of care, and patient-centered health care. My main aim is to discover how various innovations have impacted the healthcare sector especially healthcare delivery. Ill achieve my goal my exploring some of this objectives;

The Guiding Question
Does everyone embrace the use of technology to improve the quality of life in our country? I have discovered that technology in healthcare industry is vital as it makes various health treatments effective and efficient in a number of ways. Additionally, I have discovered that there is a certain age group that mainly denies the use of technology in the healthcare sector. These are the elderly individuals of above the age of 55. This age group believes in traditional medical solutions. For example, there are patients who only believe in the traditional methods of treatment and that no advancement that can prove them wrong. In the same way, there are still health care specialists who strongly believe in how they were initially taught in schools, hence it becomes hard for them to fully embrace technology. Consequently, I need to discover how the use of health-related technology can be affected by people’s differences in terms of beliefs/culture.
My anticipated audience for this essay is the physicians or health care specialists as well as the health care legislators in the country.
Reasons and the values of the chosen audience
The physicians would be one of my anticipated audiences because they directly deal with different patients while treating them, hence they need to identify various health care gaps. Besides, patients may disclose various health secrets to physicians, hence they are closer to the patients than even their respective families. On the other hand, the health care legislators would be my expected audience because they are capable of making various health-related laws including the law relating to the embracement of technology in the country’s health facilities through a legislative process. For example, in 2009, the Children’s Health Insurance Program was launched, an initiative that has really helped children from underprivileged backgrounds (Grogan & Rigby, 2009). This means that Health care legislators can help in implementation of the law regarding the compulsory use of technology in the health facilities.

Technology has helped deal with the obstacle impacting the quality and efficiency of telemedicine, especially among chronic diseases triggered by the increase in the number of healthcare services provided. Again, Health information technology presents health information in the best form to support clinical decisions such as lab ordering, vaccinations, process adherence, and clinical outcomes. Alotaibi and Federico (2017) provided us with a number of tools that support the accuracy and efficiency of workflow in clinical settings. Such tools include notifications, documentation templates, physician reminders, diagnostic support, alerts, clinical guidelines, and many more. Other ideas included the use EHR in dealing with complex medical processes and enhancing interdependence among clinical components. My sources support my proposed topic in that they will provide me with more and deeper knowledge regarding the purpose of my topic as they offer clear explanations regarding various subtopics.

Another idea is about what we can do to encourage a substantial number of health specialists and patients in terms of embracing the use of technology in health facilities. Even though there is clear information on how significant technology has been in regards to health care, there are still health specialists and patients who have not fully embraced it (Atasoy et al., 2019). Grogan and Rigby (2009) are clear on policy problems when adopting medical innovations. Policies such as child insurance programs at the federal level are more likely to support state programs that align with federal expectations and capabilities as opposed to the contrary. What the states enact is the main contributor to the kind of policies states expect of federal policymakers. Therefore, I would like to feature the idea regarding the reason why some healthy individuals are not fully embracing the use of technology, which has a vital impact in regards to health provision.

The idea of the technology embracement in the health care sector is vital as it will help various people in understanding more about the significant role that technology plays in the provision of quality health care. Besides, my proposed idea regarding the steps that are being taken to improve the existing technology will help me dig deeper in identification of ways that can be used so that everyone can be at a position to embrace technology. As much as we want to grow in various ways we must grow together with the technology as it impacts our lives positively. To have a clear breakdown of the research question, I will subdivide my research into various sections. In the first section, I will introduce my research briefly by presenting the background of technology in the medical field, the problem statement, and a general rationale of the study. Next, I will proceed to present general literature, challenges the health sector faces, and how various innovations have impacted delivery. Finally, the research paper will explore various recommendations including the challenges of adopting technological trends in the healthcare sector.
The research on various ways on how technology can be used to provide communication regarding the well-being of the people will assist me in educating people on the most effective ways to interact with their care givers even if they do not visit the health facilities. For example, I will encourage various individuals on the need to embrace Remote Patient Monitoring system that uses various technological tools as well as responding to a constant stream of patient information outside a clinic or a hospital. This kind of telehealth is significant as it monitors patients with chronic situations like diabetes, hypertension, and heart failure (Salehi et al., 2020). Physicians use this system to respond punctually with an ambulance when a given patient’s health statistics indicate that they are in urgent need of emergency treatment. Consequently, I will look for additional research for me to be at a position to encourage the community on the use of technology in our healthcare facilities.
I am also planning to dig more on the average financial capability of health care facilities that have been established in areas that are dominated by the people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Therefore, I will be able to identify the various financial factors that lead to lack of the necessary technology in health facilities in remote areas. Besides, I will also need to research on the different beliefs held by various people in the country. This will help me identify the technological gap in a given community, hence possessing knowledge regarding the best health care technology that can be applied in specific localities of the country, thus assisting me in identifying more impacts of technology on health care industry.
