In my opinion, I think Abraham Lincoln was the best president of the United States because of his major contributions and leadership. He was the best president because of his major contribution called the Emancipation Proclamation which had a big effect on the change of human rights. The Emancipation Proclamation was related to the change in human rights because they both impacted the US by wanting people to be free. Lincoln had other major contributions during his term which included the Gettysburg Address and helping the Union during the civil war.

Along with my opinion on Abraham Lincoln being the best president, he had many contributions that made him a good president. One of those contributions included the Emancipation Proclamation which was developed on January 1, 1863. This proclamation was developed to ensure that slaves being held, should be freed. I also think he was the best president because he had such a big impact on the US that it changed the view on human rights forever. Although this proclamation didn’t end slavery it was included in the process to band it for those who were against the Union.

Along with Abraham contributing to making the Emancipation Proclamation, another one of his contributions included helping the Union civil war. With Lincoln being a great president, he was also a good leader due to him being able to put a hold on the war while the other party wanted to attack. Lincoln was able to put a hold onto the war by supplying food to the confederates who were going to attack him and whoever fought with him. However, with Lincoln sending over the confederates supplies, he was able to easily help the Union win the war.

In addition to Abraham Lincoln having other successful contributions, his last contribution included the Gettysburg Address. The Gettysburg Address, also known as the Gettysburg speech was a speech dedicated to the civil war on November 19, 1863. The Gettysburg speech was developed to bring awareness to all the lives lost in the Union civil war. This speech makes me believe that Lincoln was a good president because although he fought the opposing party during this war, Lincoln still didn’t think that anyone should have died during this war when conflicts could’ve been resolved.

In conclusion, I still think Lincoln is the best president because of his many contributions to the world including the Emancipation Proclamation, Gettysburg Address speech, and being a leader of the civil war. Although slavery didn’t end son after the Emancipation Proclamation was developed, it still was a way to ensure people that it could be done. These contributions made by Lincoln was able to bring the nation together. I also think he is a good president because as he fought during the war and won, he still felt empathy for those who died.
