Looking through quotes
Find an interview on the internet. This should be a video that features both the interviewee and the interviewer. Think of something like a 60-minutes special. The interview should be at least 10 minutes long.
Watch the interview and listen to the answers to all the questions. Practice jotting down all the key information that is said from the intervieweTry to get as much as you can, but you’ll have to be quick, because people talk quickly.
Once you’ve compiled a good, detailed summary of all the answers, you should categorize those answers into answers that give information or answers that give insight. Separate these two groups in your document.
Then, based on the facts of the story and the information in the interview, write the following:
A headline for a news article about the interview
The first 2 sentences of a news article about the interview
The three best possible insight quotes that were said during the entire interview. See the video on what a good insightful quote looks like.
