Directions:

In this assessment, you will develop a plan of care proposal. This plan of care will be in the form of a Microsoft PowerPoint® presentation. Please include the following information in your PowerPoint.

Presentation Requirements

You will present this PPT two required times:

  1. Recorded Audio PPT: Please record audio to your PPT presentation. This will be submitted to the Dropbox. You will use audio rather than speaker notes for your presentation. The audio presentation should be at least 12 minutes and not exceed 15 minutes. The viewpoint and purpose of this assessment should be clearly established and sustained.
  2. Healthcare Professional Presentation: You are required to present this presentation to a fellow healthcare worker. Preferably, this person has experience with your POI and/or works in complex care management. See below information:

Healthcare Professional Presentation: Presentation may occur face to face or in a technology-based format such as an Adobe® meeting room, Google® Hangouts®, or Google Meet®. If you are presenting via technology, please email this Assessment Feedback form to your audience member and ask that individual to complete the form and return to you. If in person, have the form filled out and scan it into Dropbox. The presentation must be to an individual not enrolled in the RN-BSN program and not associated with the university.

Dropbox Submission: Both the recorded audio PPT and the feedback form should be uploaded to the Dropbox.

Clinical Practice Experience Log

This module contains assessments that require you to submit a Clinical Practice Experience Log (located under Course Resources). This document will be used to record the number of practice experience hours and the type of practice experience activities. Assessments that are not accompanied by a Clinical Practice Experience Log will not be graded.

Directions:

Complete the assessment as indicated. Record the hours that you spent completing each aspect of this assessment (preparation, reading, writing, presenting, etc.) on the Clinical Practice Experience Log (located under Course Resources). Submit the Clinical Practice Experience Log to the Dropbox along with your assessment.

Minimum Submission Requirements

  • This Assessment should be a PowerPoint (16-20 slides) presentation, in addition to the title and reference slides.
  • Respond to the questions in a thorough manner, providing specific examples of concepts, topics, definitions, and other elements asked for in the questions. Your submission should be highly organized, logical, and focused.
  • Your submission must be written in Standard English and demonstrate exceptional content, organization, style, and grammar and mechanics.
  • Your submission should provide a clearly established and sustained viewpoint and purpose.
  • Your writing should be well ordered, logical and unified, as well as original and insightful.
  • A separate slide at the end of your submission should contain a list of references, in APA format. Use your textbook, the Library, and the internet for research.
  • Be sure to cite both in-text and reference list citations where appropriate and reference all sources. Your sources and content should follow proper APA citation style. Review the writing resources for APA formatting and citation found in Academic Tools. Additional writing resources can be found within the Academic Success Center.

If work submitted for this competency assessment does not meet the minimum submission requirements, it will be returned without being scored.
