Primate’s conservation status

You have chosen a primate for observation. Due to the current virus threat you will be doing on observation on the videos in Lab 11. Therefore, you will be now be required to complete a written report on your primate. Your report should be 3-5 pages long, and will need to contain the following pieces of information:

1) Your primate’s full taxonomic information – everything from kingdom to species! Make sure you also include the suborder and infraorder, if it is given.

2) Your primate’s conservation status:

What is its exact status?
How many are left in the wild? (For some species, this may not be known!)
What are the biggest threats to your primate?
If you can find this information, what has been done to help conserve your primate?
3) A physical description of the animal.

4) Your primate’s social habits: what is its primary residence pattern?

5) How much field observation has been done on this species and by whom?

6) Your works cited/bibliography – 3 sources of information is the minimum.
