Proposals for implementing the University Carbon Neutrality Initiative

*** Carbon neutrality is a very ambitious goal and something that no other major university has done.  This paper assignment asks you to suppose that you have a $5 million budget to invest in helping UC achieve its Carbon Neutrality Goals. What measures might you target as a top priority? What additional measures might you suggest?  How would you spend your money, implement your plan, and what accountability would you have that your plan reduced carbon emissions?****

**** The best approach is to raise awareness about the carbon emission in the UC system. Have more classes added about the environmental issues as well as giving solutions to the issues.  Have more guess talks about their approach to solve environmental issues. Have a plan environmental fair to raise awareness. Please make sure to give an investment amount ($). You can use any papers that has publish to support your points.

Your paper should take the following form:

• Introduction

— A description of the solutions that you are studying to help the UC reach the carbon neutrality goal.  And a very clear statement on the specific project that you are proposing to address the UC carbon neutrality goal).

• Background

— Necessary background information on your project idea and references to support your information and facts.

— Discussion of any controversies, including motivations behind opposing

views.

• Analysis

— Evidence-based evaluation of the carbon-reducing action that you are proposing.

—          A clear, general budget of how you plan to spend your $5 million dollars.

—          A statement on how specifically our project will be effective in helping UC meet our carbon neutrality goals.

• Conclusion

— Restatement of your statement on this proposed project and the analyses of the carbon-reducing potential.

— Synthesis of your arguments.

• Bibliography

—          A least four reputable, independent references that support your approach and the analysis presented.

—          Your sources should support your position with a preponderance of evidence – not just a couple of quick facts to suit your personal preference.

—          Your bibliography will not be considered as part of your word count.
