Reflecting on writing better

The Writer’s Statement is an essay, in which you reflect on the ways you have improved as a critical reader and a critical writer.

Be sure to address how you, as a writer, have improved in the following areas:

 presenting a clear and coherent thesis

 using evidence from the text to develop and support the thesis

 using the appropriate conventions of writing: grammar, mechanics, etc.
