Reflexive writing about Cyborg Manifesto
Please download the ebook that I upload in the file. The writing requirements are below:A little bit of context:
Donna Haraway is an infamously dense and difficult writer who blends up topics and uses long sentences with many metaphors, non sequiturs and other literary devices. Her writing is often intentionally polemic (border-lining on straw-man- argumentation). This text in particular is very open and honest about its use of irony, speculation, blasphemy, etc to make her point. The cyborg manifesto is one of the most debated and contested and important texts that lost nothing of its intellectual prowess since its first print in 1985. Thirty-six years later, I claim that it is as relevant, provocative and illegible as when it was written. For this week I would like you to read the cyborg manifesto in full and sum up what YOU take away from this text. Please note down how long it takes/took you to read the full manifesto.
Did you read the text in one go or do you need several attempts?
Where did you read it (office desk, on a computer, in the library, did you print it..)?
Just before going to sleep or in the middle of the day?
