Overview
Many significant preacher-music leader teams have impacted pragmatic ideologies in the collective history of revivalism in the United States. Their methodologies, innovations and precedents contributed richly to the relevant issues and practices of 21st century corporate worship.
Instructions
Students will research and write on the following teams:
Charles Finney/Thomas Hastings
Kathryn Kuhlman/Audrey Meir
Requirements:
12 scholarly sources in addition to the textbooks.
Follow current Turabian format
– Table of Contents
– Bibliography
You must cover historical information about each team but primarily focus on methodologies, innovations, and precedents of each team. You must also discuss current, relevant issues for each team as they may impact today’s practices. This is not simply a historical paper, but one that demonstrates the ability to connect specific developments and show how they have shaped modern worship culture.
