Organizational leaders utilize various tools to establish appropriate strategies for developing their companies. Executives and leaders face several challenges in the implementation of business models. Therefore, by applying systems theory, organizations can establish efficient and suitable designs, patterns, and business strategies that allow for smooth operation and service delivery. Moreover, these approaches can be enhanced by incorporating metaphors and frames in their selection.

Most organizations apply pattern, design, and strategy approaches to enhance the efficiency of service delivery. The Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) material management flight is a real organization that provides support logistics for training pilots. The organization follows particular steps in delivering its services to acquire financial gain from the customers. It establishes a pattern of considering the client’s needs and satisfaction, ensuring their services’ successful delivery. This is evident through the emphasis on customer relations, the presence of full-time ordering agents, and the sorting of goods for the customers.

Moreover, the organization has a business strategy that ensures continual replenishment of the necessary airplane parts and gear. It aims to maintain close and fruitful customer relations by sustaining ready-for-use items. Therefore, by establishing a suitable design, pattern, and business market strategies, the model employed creates efficiency in accomplishing the organization’s customer service goals.

The organization models can be examined for prevailing practices using various metaphors. These metaphors are beneficial in comprehending the broader function of the companies (How eight organizational metaphors impact leadership, 2019). They represent the organization as; a machine, which shows that it consists of specific roles and responsibilities that are performed by people who can be easily replaced; an organism, which is concerned with and can be affected by the environment; a brain, which portrays it as a collection of knowledge and wisdom with the employees acting as the sensors, while the managers are the sense-determiners; a cultural system, which shares beliefs and behaviors among the employees and employers, among others (How eight organizational metaphors impact leadership 2019). The organization as an organism is the best metaphor for LRS Material Management Flight since it depends on the customers who form their environment. They benefit from the clients through revenues made from purchases made. Therefore, the metaphor aids in understanding the practice of customer satisfaction by the organization.

Bolman and Deal’s four frames can also be used to analyze companies’ practices. Each component of the frames provides knowledge of the procedure in which a company functions (Photinopoulos, 2021). The frames consist of; structure, which focuses on finding the right people for the roles available in the organization; human resource, which aims at establishing a symbiotic relationship between the employees and the workplace; political, which provides a sense of authority from which the company’s goals and procedures are set, and symbolic frame, which lays focus on patterns of shared assumptions and beliefs in an organization (Photinopoulos, 2021). The best frame suited for LRS material management flight is the structure framework since it deals with a sensitive and complex service that requires knowledgeable and trained personnel to accomplish tasks efficiently. The metaphors and frames show that the environment is important to organizations and guides the management in determining the best frame for supervision purposes (Plaku & Thundiyath, 2017). Moreover, they show that several approaches can be applied to a business model. Therefore, business practices can be analyzed in various ways to establish the best approach to defining a successful organization.

By applying systems theory, organizations can establish efficient and suitable designs, patterns, and business strategies that allow for smooth operation and service delivery. Developing a business model using these approaches promotes comprehension of the various components of the business while enhancing the organization’s operational efficiency. Moreover, incorporating and determining the best-suited metaphors and frames can be crucial to business success.
