Brainstorming your research topic

Concept mapping is a brainstorming activity that can help you figure out what you already know about your topic, and examine the relationships between those ideas. It can also help you identify gaps in you knowledge and help you identify what information you need to find.

You will create a concept map on a research topic of your choice. Remember you do NOT have to decide on a topic until Week 6 when you submit your Topic Proposal. However, I strongly recommend you create your concept map using a to research topic you think you may be interested in exploring for your final assignment.

ENGL102 linked students: Eventually, I’d like you to choose a topic that will work for your final assignments in both classes. However, I understand it may be too early for you to know what topics will discussed in ENGL 102. For now, choose any topic that interests you.
