COVID-19, the global pandemic, has impacted in a major way on financial regulation: policies, priorities and risk assessment norms and caused considerable changes in financial regulation. Discuss these developments with reference to each of the important policy-setting and supervisory bodies referenced below, and the general trend in financial regulation:

1. Instructions for students
Each candidate should prepare and submit an assignment essay dealing with this topic in full. The paper should identify the challenges being addressed, the nature of the measures taken to address these challenges. In their analysis and findings each candidate should reference whatever evidence there is to suggest the relevant changes in regulation and supervision may be effective.
2. The assignment should also set out the methodology being used and include a literature review.
3. Principles of academic freedom apply. Each candidate may be as critical or as positive in their conclusions as long as the conclusions are evidence-based.
4. Each assignment should be 4,500 words long (give or take a 10% margin) and should be typed in 1.5 print. Please number all pages, and make use of headings and sub-headings for clarity.
