Outside Resources for Effective Planning

Resources
and systems that will assist student affairs professionals in designing and
managing programs often exist outside the higher education institution.
Software, websites, physical systems, and relationships with university
partners or professional networks are all vital resources student affairs
professionals must be able to identify and utilize.

Identify
a web-based project management tool from this week’s topic materials to assist
you in planning and executing the program or event you proposed in Topic 1.

Your
first task to complete within the project management tool is to identify
resources and strategic partners  external to the higher education
institution that would assist you in planning or executing your program or
event for which you advocated in your video. Add complete information about
these partners to your project management tool, including what roles you
anticipate they will play in the program or event.

Write
a 250–500-word rationale for the web-based software you selected
explaining why you believe the selected tool is the best choice for your
program or event. In addition, summarize the list of external resources you
selected and explain why the types of resources are relevant to the identified
student need. Include a link to your web-based project management tool,
including login information if required.

Support
your rationale with 3-5 scholarly resources.

While
APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic
writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented
using APA documentation guidelines.
