working from home

SCENARIO You are the head of your department, Billing and Accounts Receivable, at Raymond Inc., a company that manufactures the Beacon GPS system. The average work week in your department is 45 hours, though some employees regularly work more than 50 hours per week. A few of your employees are showing signs of burnout, and you fear that this will become an increasing problem in the months to come. To be proactive, you are putting together a proposal, in which you recommend that employees be allowed to work from home 10 hours per week (or you could gear this proposal toward flex time). You submitted a similar proposal four years ago, and it was rejected; however, nearly all members of upper management have since changed, and you are determined that this time, you will make a more persuasive argument. TASK  Make a persuasive case for working from home.  Submit a proposal in which you present research regarding other companies who have allowed employees to work from home and/or present other kinds of information from other publications regarding the benefits of working from home.
