Assignment 2: Park Audit

You will use the Community Park Audit Tool (CPAT) to complete this park audit assignment. As with the streetscape audit assignment, it is important to know that this is a real environmental audit tool used by researchers, community advocacy groups, and other local organizations.

Find a local park that is near where you currently live. As needed, be sure to follow all guidelines related to social distancing, wearing a mask, opening and closing times, etc.

It is critical that you complete this assessment during the day time hours not only to fully see the park and all it has to offer but most importantly for safety, too.

Prior to completing this park audit assignment, thoroughly review the CPAT and its user guidebook. Make sure you bring both the tool and user guidebook with you while you complete the assignment.
