EBP Project

Many cultural variables can be considered when designing an educational program that reflects an understanding of cultural competence. Some of these variables include age, educational background, ethnicity, linguistic background, gender identity- just to name a few. For the Unit 8 Discussion, provide a brief description of how cultural aspects of the target audience influenced the design of your final EBP project.

Targeted Audience Staff nurses at a skilled rehab facility.

++++AGE related to years worked: Nurses out of the 30 staff nurses, 15 of them have been nurses 0-5 years, 10 nurses have been nurses 5-10 years. 5 nurses have been nurses longer than 10 years.
+++Educational background: Most of the nurses are 26 License practical nurses LPN, 2 are ADN, RN, and 2 have BSN, RN.

The EBP: is reeducating staff nurses to better assess CHF patients in a skilled rehab facility. To prevent re hospitalization. Staff nurses have been reeducated using pre/post test and powerpoints.
