A team or collaboration is of utmost importance as it enables individuals to share the workload, which makes things pretty more straightforward for the team. Managers can assign work to each individual who is also free to experiment on new ideas and new items (Haas, 2016). When individuals are working towards the same goal, the amount of work hard channeled towards the project is more. As such, managers should understand the strengths and weaknesses of each member and delegate work accordingly for quality output. This also ensures that there is maximum efficiency.

Nurses in leadership play a critical role in ensuring they foster their team to provide their patients with the best care. The following are some of their roles that ensure they have an outstanding team in healthcare systems.

It is essential to have active listening as an aspect in team operations as different people may have different questions, suggestions, or feedback that they might wish to relay to nurses (Collette, 2017). Lastly, the leaders also promote mutual respect, which is an important aspect not only in the team but across the entire healthcare system and collaborative department (Lancaster, 2015).
